Reclaimed Church Pine Mantle and Shelves

This custom home remodel project featured 200 year old reclaimed pine from a church in Cincinnati. The massive mantle served as the kitchen's unique focal point, measuring 12' long and 9" deep. The complementary shelves in the wet bar area, just off the kitchen measured 7' long each and 11" deep. The pine required significant surface preparation including wire brushing to remove old material and clean up of the various holes and knots. Then several coats of stain were applied and finish coats of polyurethane. Wood sourced from M.Bohlke Corp., renovation work by Urban Developers LLC of Cincinnati.
